Can I use my Nassau Downs Telephone Betting Account to wager online?

Yes, if you are a New York State resident you can use the same account number and PIN that you use to wager on the telephone and in Nassau OTB branches. Nassau OTB's Telephone Accounts are now known as Nassau OTB Permanent Wagering Accounts. Please read and accept the Terms and Conditions for this website, which include the Nassau OTB Permanent Wagering Account Rules, before you login.



Does Nassau OTB have a rewards program?

Yes, Nassau OTB also provides the BetNowNY Players Club, the premier rewards program. The more you play, the more we pay. Members earn rewards, including cash deposited to your account, by wagering a minimum of $2,000 a month.

Can I use my BetNowNY Players Club account to wager online?

Yes, a BetNowNY Players Club account is both a wagering account and a rewards program.

How do I open a Nassau OTB or BetNowNY Players Club account to wager at (aka

To open an account you must read and accept the Nassau OTB Permanent Wagering Account Rules, fill out an application, submit a copy of proper identification to verify your age, and residency in New York State and make an initial deposit of $10 dollars or more. Nassau OTB Permanent Wagering Account Rules and application form are provided below. When complete, you may submit it in one of the following ways:

Signature Verification: You must submit either a driver's license or social security card, or an additional government document containing your signature for verification purposes.

Account holder's residency and social security number will be verified prior to account opening.

What is Deposit Now ACH Funds Transfer?

Deposit Now ACH (Automated Clearing House) funds transfer allows you to transfer funds from your bank account to your Nassau OTB wagering account. You do not need to pre-register. All you need is your bank name, routing and account number which is available on your bank checks or statement. The bank account must be in your name.

Is my banking information secure?

Yes; the connection between your browser and our web servers is a secure connection which means that all data is encrypted. We transmit your ACH request to the banking network via a secure encrypted network and most importantly we never keep your account details on our servers or databases.

How can I use Deposit Now ACH funds transfer to deposit money to my Nassau OTB account?

Deposit Now ACH funds transfer is only available on-line at (aka

  •  Enter your Nassau OTB Username and PIN and confirm your eligibility to login.
  • Click DEPOSIT.
  • Click ACH Terms and Conditions to read and accept the ACH Terms and Conditions.
  • Click Deposit Funds via ACH Transfer Now.
  • Enter your bank name, routing and account number. The sample check image shows where to find the required information.
  • Enter the amount you want to transfer from your bank account. The $1 Nassau OTB service fee will be deducted before the funds are deposited.
  • Click to authorize the transfer.
  • Print the receipt for your records.

How much can I deposit to my account using Deposit Now ACH transfers?

Individual Deposit Now ACH transfers are limited to $9,999. There's no limit to the number of transfers you can make. However, the amount you request determines whether the funds will be credited to your account immediately, or on hold until they clear in 6 bank days.

The first time you transfer funds from a particular bank account:

  • Requests up to $51 will be deposited immediately to your OTB account.
  • Requests greater than $51 will be on hold until they clear in 6 bank days.

After your first Deposit Now transfer clears in 6 bank days:

  • Requests up to $301 will be deposited immediately to your OTB account.
  • Requests greater than $301 will be on hold until they clear in 6 bank days.

You can request that your immediate funds limit be increased:

  • If you have had a Nassau OTB account for 2 years or more.
  • If you have no bank charge backs in the prior two (2) years.
  • If you have successfully completed at least one transfer with the particular bank account.
  • By contacting Customer Service at or 516-572-2800 ext. 178 or 179.

Your immediate funds limit includes the total of all immediate requests made within the past 6 bank days.

When are on hold Deposit Now Funds credited to the OTB account?

On hold Deposit Now funds will be credited to the OTB account at 12 noon on the 6th bank day after the request is made. If the request is made after 10 pm delayed funds will be credited on the 7th bank day.

Bank days are Monday to Friday except for bank holidays. Bank holidays for 2009 are:

Can I change the bank account I use for Deposit Now ACH Transfers?

Yes, you can change your bank account if you have no Deposit Now transfers in progress.

  • Click Deposit.
  • Click Deposit Funds via ACH Transfer Now.
  • Click Use Different Bank.
  • Enter the new bank name, routing and account number.
  • Click Submit Bank Details to register the new account.

Your immediate funds limit will revert to $51 until your first transaction from this bank clears in 6 bank days.


Who can login?
You must have a Nassau OTB or BetNowNY wagering account, be a resident of New York State and confirm that you are currently located in New York State to login for wagering, odds, race video, race replays, handicapping statistics and more.

Are there limits on amounts wagered?
Minimum wagers for all bets are determined by the host tracks.

What if I make a mistake when entering my bet?
If you have not pressed the PLACE WAGER button, you can simply click the START OVER button to clear your current bet.

Once I've placed a wager, may I cancel it?
Online wagers may be cancelled, if the pool has not closed, by calling 1-800-TEL-BETS (1-800-835-2387). All wager cancellations are subject to New York State Racing and Wagering Board regulations.

When betting on-line, how do I know if the bet has been accepted?
When you click on CONFIRM a wager receipt will provide you with a TICKET ID which identifies your transaction. You also have the option to go to STATEMENTS and review your last transactions.

How do I get video?
Live streaming video is only available to account holders who are Nassau County residents and have confirmed they are located in Nassau County at login.

Race replays are available to all account holders who are New York State residents who confirm they are located in New York State at login.

On the left side, click the VIDEO button. Clicking on the button will bring up a page with the video streaming and race replay options available to the account holder as described above. You will need the current version of Windows Media Player to access this video.

Once a video has started playing, you can view it full screen by right clicking on the display window to show the available options. Select "Zoom" followed by "Full Screen".

To exit the full screen view press the "Esc" key on your keyboard or right click and select the "Exit Full Screen" option on the menu.

How can I see scratches, changes and results?
Login and select a track from the list of tracks on the right, to view the program page . Above the program page , select the CHANGES tab. This will display the current scratches and changes. Results for today.s tracks will be shown on the program card once the race is official. You can search for previous days. results by selecting the Results link on the left hand menu.

How can I make a Deposit or a Withdrawal from my Account?
A minimum deposit of $10 must be made to open an account. Initial deposits can be made with cash, check or money order. What Tracks Can I Wager On?

Any special software required to use
There is no special software required to place wagers. Everything works through standard Internet browsers. You may need to install Adobe Acrobat Reader to view some forms and reports. Download the FREE Adobe's Acrobat Reader here. If you use an Apple computer, you'll need to install the Flip4Mac plugin. Download the FREE Flip4Mac here.

How will I know if my wager was accepted?
Players receive immediate notification verifying each wager that has been accepted. Each accepted wager is given a unique transaction number.

Am I able to view my wagering history?
Yes. Players can view their wagering history in the " Account" section. Account wagers made via the telephone and at Nassau OTB locations can be viewed there as well as online wagers.


What are the system requirements to use

This site is designed to work with Internet Explorer version 6 or greater, Firefox version 2.0, and Safari version 2.0.
Your screen resolution should be set to 1024 by 768 or greater.

How do I change my screen resolution?

1. Minimize all applications so that you can see the desktop.
2. Right-click anywhere on the desktop background (not on an icon).
3. In the resulting pop-up menu, choose Properties. This will open the Display Properties dialog box.
4. In the Display Properties dialog box, select the Settings tab.
5. In the Settings tab, in the lower right corner, is a "slider" which allows you to change the screen resolution.
6. Slide this control to the left to decrease the screen resolution and to the right to increase the resolution. The resolution will only change in preset steps usually starting with 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768 and getting increasingly larger. IT is recommending at least 1024x768 unless you have a specific reason to use a lower resolution.
7. Try changing the resolution one step at a time. Click Apply and then OK from the pop-up message screen to actually change the screen resolution.
8. If you see a message asking if you want to keep the new settings, click the Yes button within 15 seconds. (If you don't want to keep the changed screen resolution, either click the No button or wait 15 seconds and the change will be reset to what it was before.)
9. Keep sliding the resolution control one step at a time until you are satisfied. (Repeat steps 7 & 8.)
10. When done, click the OK button to close the Display Properties dialog box.


My media player does not show a video yet continues to say "buffering". How do I see video?

  • Open the Video Window by clicking on the Video button
  • Right click on the Media Player
  • Select "Options"
  • Under the Performance tab,
    • Make sure the "Detect connection speed (recommended)" is selected,
    • Make sure the "Use default buffering (recommended)" is selected

    • Select the Network tab
    • Click the Configure button

    • Make sure the Auto detect proxy settings is marked.

    Is your site secure?
    We are using the latest technology to ensure your information's safety and privacy. The website is secured via SSL certificates issued by VeriSign. All sensitive information entered on our site is encrypted using minimum 128-bit SSL encryption.

    When you log into the application, your account number, PIN are all transmitted securely because this is your confidential and personal account information. This information is sent to and stored on our server with a session identifier number. After logging in, the actual betting and information pages are done outside of Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) so that the application can run efficiently. The session identifier number is linked to your bets in this application rather than your confidential account information. When you place a bet, it is transmitted along with a session identifier. When it reaches our server it uses the session identifier to match your bets to your account information, which you had previously transmitted securely. Because the server does all of this removed from visibility to the Internet, and within the server side of the application, your confidential information is well protected from the outside world. We found this secure and insecure page mix gave us the best performance while maintaining your account security.
