Governor Cuomo Announces That Some NY Tracks May Re-Open
By STEVE PHILLIPS

On Saturday, May 16th, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that New York State will allow the (limited) return of horse racing over the next few weeks.

There will be no 'live' attendance for racing fans, in keeping with the current methods being employed by America's active tracks. Racing will be conducted under guidelines that the Governor said would be formalized this week.

Among the New York State tracks that are expected to return to racing (probably in early June) are BELMONT, VERNON & TIOGA. Other facilities, including Yonkers & Saratoga, have been given permission to explore their re-opening options.
